B&Q Christmas Shop Now Open

Offer From B&Q Christmas

The B&Q Christmas Shop is now open and that means you can bypass Halloween and Bonfire Night and head straight to buying decorations, Christmas Trees, and Lights. Many items are available to reserve online and collect instore or you can arrange delivery.

One thing we've noticed at B&Q over the years is that their Christmas stock gets smaller and smaller. This means if you're after a new tree then sometimes it pays to get in early as they quickly sell out of stock.

This is especially the case with Christmas Lights, and a trip to the local B&Q can be disappointing. Usually all they have left are the singing and dancing snowmen, reindeers and Santas - alongside staff members sick of customers setting them all off at the same time!

Anyway, the good news is that online right now (October 2010) there's a nice range of artificial Christmas trees - from the traditional green to coloured ones (black, pink, white and cream), fibre optic and pre-lit. Sizes range from table top to 7.5feet tall! For real trees then you have to go in store - and we don't think stock will be in until mid November at the earliest.

There's also a nice selection of silhouette rope lights including a multi-coloured santa, a snowman, Rudolph and a Merry Christmas message. We quite like the Kissing Reindeers, but a top top for silhouettes is make sure you have the room!

B&Q delivery is for 5 for orders under 100, but remember it's free to order online and then use the "collect and pay for items in store" service. It's also worth noting that some Christmas decorations can't be bought online - but you can check stock at your local store via the DIY.com website.

To save money at B&Q online (and instore) don't forget to keep an eye on our B&Q Offers page!
